About Us

We are a homegrown pottery studio offering classes, memberships, and experiences for all ages. Our gallery and online store is stocked with local pottery and ceramics for painting. Our mission is to provide an environment to create, collaborate, and contribute to the community.

Les Greeman

Jody Jaques has over 20 years of experience. She graduated with her B.S. in Art Education with an emphasis in ceramics From Asbury University. She then went on to Eastern Kentucky University to get her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction Art Education with an emphasis in Metals and Ceramics. Jody now lives in the beautiful town of Frankfort, Kentucky, with her active husband and her thee curious kiddos. Her goal is to create affordable, unique and fun works of art for everyone, while roping as many people as possible into the mess. “Along the way you learn to observe life more deeply, examine art in new ways, and create like you were created.” 

Les attended Centre College in 1974 and that’s when his ceramic career began. After graduation, he worked in various community classes around central Kentucky. Les continued his ceramic career in 1982 with an apprenticeship under a Master Potter, Charles Count, in Rising Fawn, Georgia. Once he completed his apprenticeship, Les decided to move back to Kentucky and establish an in-home studio. In 2010, Broadway Clay was established by Les, along with two other potters. 

“As a potter I am obliged to produce wares which are demonstrating the highest level of craftsmanship, aesthetically pleasing, functional, and priced so that people can afford to purchase and enjoy using them.”

Megan Sauter

Megan Sauter, of Frankfort, KY, graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in studio art from Georgetown College. She studied sculpture and ceramics abroad at universities in both Italy and Japan. She continued her ceramic education at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Penland School of Crafts, and Miami University’s Craft Summer Program. Not only is Megan a working artist, but she is also an art educator on the KY Arts Council's Teaching Artist Directory. She received her Master of Arts in art education at the University of Kentucky. Megan currently teaches ceramics at her alma mater, Georgetown College.
